Blizzard Nerfs 10 Cards in Latest Patch
Another wave of balance changes was announced on the Hearthstone community forums today. These changes are primarily geared towards the new Demon Hunter class, but a handful of cards from other classes were changed.
These changes should not come as a huge shock, as Tempo Demon Hunter decks have been boasting a 54% win rate, second only to Galakrond Warlock at 55%. Blizzard has shown last week they are not afraid to intervene quickly when Demon Hunter needs adjustment. However, unlike the last patch which caused confusion when implemented in game without visual changes while viewing collection, this patch will be implemented early next week.
The Sacrificial Pact change is likely to encourage players to find a wider degree of counter-measures to Demon Hunter beyond the obvious. It is also functionally a nerf to Zephrys as players will no longer be offered Sacrificial Pact as an easy out to a Demon.
As usual a dust refund will be offered for 2 weeks following the balance changes. Because some of these cards are received for free, only golden copies will be refundable. The full list of changes is below.
Kael’Thas Sunstrider - Cost increased from 6 to 7.
